Для эскалации полномочий при автоматическом обновлении apt-indicator вызывает xdg-su.
После обновления xdg-utils выполнение xdg-su завершается с кодом 4
В результате не работает автоматическое обновление системы. Похоже, есть вариант обхода - apt-get install gksu
