Просьба поменять значение параметра --with-filedescriptors до 65536, и внести соответствующую правку в /etc/sysconfig/squid и /etc/rc.d/init.d/squid 

Такие значения нужны для работы в системах, обслуживающих от 2 тыс. и более клиентов.
