Поймал, конфигурируя collectd -- он ожидает по штатному пути; сделал пока ему

SensorConfigFile "/etc/sensors3.conf"

но вообще-то хорошо бы придумать, как это аккуратно обеспечить в пакете.

Проблема может быть как с существующим и ценным конфигом, так и с унаследованным от lm_sensors 2.x (правленым либо нет) -- я не настолько внимательно следил за этим пакетом, чтобы быть в силах оценить все возможные варианты.
