since xfsprogs 4.16 mkfs.xfs defaults to the sparse inode feature.

grub in altlinux sisyphus does not accept such a filesystem. Problem was fixed in
https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2018-05/msg00057.html

Please include this patch into the grub-package to support xfs again from grub.
