Отсутствует утилита cups-config (cupsconfig). Это мешает мне правильно собрать
новую версию gtklp.

Вот вывод ./configure:

checking for cups-config... no
configure: error: cups-config not found !

И еще: 
При сборке с --without-cups-config получаем предупреждение: 

 ************************************************* 
 * Not to use cups-config is unsafe. Be warned ! * 
 ************************************************* 

Возможно стоит обновить cups?

По утверждению автора gtklp отсутствие cups-config не блокирует функции gtklp,
поэтому важность можно уменьшить.
