Ноутбук без uefi на устаревшем BIOS,при запуске ,всегда пишет NO UEFI и много строк по этому поводу . В чате мне сказали что нужно пересобирать ядро с параметрами которые эти надписи отключит .... настройки grub никак на это не влияют .
