postgresql8.0-server-8.0.3-alt1 (свеж'ее не смотрел)
отсутствуют post_service и preun_service,
в результате не выполняется chkconfig --add <...>
в итоге при shutdown или reboot
postgres остается висеть.:(

Sorry, слегка проглядел, preun_service есть,
но тем не менее post_service отсутствует.
