При попытке влезть в system:/documents штатными средствами (и ещё минимум одном
месте) видим попытку обращения к ${USER}Documents вместо $USER/Documents.

Исправление в секции "Paths" kcontrol путём кнопки Defaults фиксит.

Наблюдается как для ~/.kde от 3.4.1, так и на свежесозданном пользователе для 3.5.0.

На текущих сборках 3.5.1 не воспроизводится, ты вроде говорил, что заметил, где
было?
