Баг неправильно сформулирован.
в таком виде это не мой баг.
У меня все работает, в. т. ч. как указано у Вас.
Однако, естественно, у Вас не стоит пакет с указанными шрифтами 
(ms-fonts-ttf?) при чем, поскольку Вы запускаете tgif в fakechroot, 
я, очевидно, никак не могу на это повлиять, так как 
вытянутые по зависимостям шрифты тоже станут в fakechroot,
а не установятся у Вас.

вывод --- шрифты в материнскую систему надо поставить вручную.
