Description

Ivan Zakharyaschev 2009-03-13 01:50:38 MSK

emacs-mode-psgml-1.2.5-alt1
emacs-base-0.0.6-alt1
emacs22-common-22.1-alt2
emacs22-X11-gtk-22.1-alt2
emacs-git-1.5.4.5-alt3
emacs22-tramp-2.0.55-alt2
emacs22-speedbar-1.0-alt2
emacs22-X11-22.1-alt2

By default, the standard sgml-mode and xml-mode from Emacs are used; C-h f xml-mode:

xml-mode is an alias for `sgml-mode' in `sgml-mode.el'.

and it's from /usr/share/emacs/22.1/lisp/textmodes/sgml-mode.elc , not from psgml .

Expected:

If I have installed emacs-mode-psgml, I'd like the modes from psgml to override the standard ones.

Workaround: add to ~/.emacs:

;; In order for psgml to take preference,
;; first, load the standard stuff, so that it doesn't
;; get autoloaded at some time (e.g., XHTML) and override what I load next:
(load "textmodes/sgml-mode.el")
;; ultimately, load what I wish, so that the functions are forcibly redefined.
(load "psgml")

A fix:
(load "textmodes/sgml-mode")

> ;; ultimately, load what I wish, so that the functions are forcibly redefined.
> (load "psgml")
