Please make those individual package bugs that are specific to missing/broken
UTF-8 support blockers of this one.

It's not sure whether someone will work on it, but in case there are resources
available to tackle unicodification, it's better here.

Из 37 зависимых багов открыты два: 13258 (app-defaults, 2007, последняя активность 2012) и 15365 (screen, живой, 2025). UTF-8 — локаль по умолчанию в ALT с 2009 года (5.0), wiki.sisyphus.ru/utf8 мертва, кампания завершена; оставшиеся два живут сами по себе. Закрываю метабаг.
